Preah Vihear the ancient Hindu temple build during the range of Khmer Empire, that is situated atop a 525 metre of Dangrek mountain range near Thai border. Preah Vihear temples constructed late 9th to 12th century C.E. by King Yasovarman I & Suryavarman I & II. The temple was listed in Unesco World Heritage Site after a lengthy dispute between Thailand and Cambodia over ownership, in 1962, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that the temple is in Cambodia. Anlong Veng is about 140 km with 1.3 hrs drives to each there. Anlong Veng was the place of Khmer Rouge leaders spend their final years of combated from 1980 to 1988 and also where the Pol Pot was cremated in 1998 is in a parlous state. This place was the stronghold of former Khmer Rouge military leader (Ta Mok), who died in 2006
